Radios for oil and gas operations in Venezuela

We supply Motorola radios and original spare parts to contractors and service companies working across the Venezuelan oil and gas industry. Standard MOTOTRBO fleets for non-classified areas, and intrinsically safe certified models (ATEX / IECEx / UL TIA-4950) quoted on request for classified areas.

Where we operate

Orinoco Belt (El Tigre, San Tome, Morichal)

Jose industrial complex and Puerto La Cruz refinery (Anzoategui)

Anaco gas district

Eastern Lake Maracaibo coast (Cabimas, Ciudad Ojeda)

Paraguana Refining Center (Amuay, Cardon)

Standard fleet vs. classified areas

In non-classified areas (offices, yards, workshops), rugged standard radios such as the MOTOTRBO R7 or DEP450 are the right tool. Inside classified areas (Zone 1/2 or Division 1/2) only intrinsically safe certified radios may enter: the certification must match the zone, gas group and temperature class stated in the site area classification document.

A standard IP68 radio is not an intrinsically safe radio. We quote IS models (such as the MOTOTRBO EX series) case by case, including the certified batteries and audio accessories the certification requires.

Keeping existing fleets running

Most of our oil and gas work is spare parts: batteries (PMNN/NNTN), antennas, chargers and speaker microphones for fleets already in the field. Send us the part number printed on your current battery or the radio model, and we confirm the correct replacement and volume pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply ATEX / intrinsically safe radios in Venezuela?+

Yes, on request. The correct model depends on the area classification (zone or division), frequency band and quantity. Send us those details and we prepare a formal quotation including certified batteries and accessories.

Do you sell to foreign contractors with local vendor-registration requirements?+

Yes. We can provide company documentation for your vendor registration process and invoice the Venezuelan entity of your operation. Write to info@atexradio.com with your requirements.

VHF or UHF for a field operation?+

As a rule of thumb: VHF for open field and flowlines, UHF inside plants and dense metallic structures. Mixed operations often run both or add a repeater; we help you size it.
